Stokes County Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program
In an effort to reduce the number of unwanted pets in our community we offer a low cost spaying or neutering program for the citizens of Stokes County.
As incentive for those who wish to have their pets altered but have a problem coming up with the funds for the surgery, we are offering to provide pet owners with pet food to last one month, typically two large bags (depending on the number of animals). The money normally spent on pet food could be utilized to pay for the surgery.
For those struggling just to feed their pets, we can help with food on a per situation basis if they agree to keep the pet in the home and as long as supplies last.
To qualify you must make $1,600 or less per month, gross. Complete the application below, print it out and send it to our address (PO Box 102 Danbury NC 27016) along with a check or money order made payable to the Stokes County Humane Society for your portion of the procedure. Once we receive your payment we will make an appointment with the Forsyth Spay Neuter Clinic in Kernersville and then contact you to let you know the date of the surgery. You are responsible for taking your pet the day of surgery (between 7:30 am and 8:30 am) and pick them up the same day (no later then 5:00) unless other arrangements are made. The pricing is as listed below:
Females Over 40lbs $75.00
Feline Male - $45.00
Microchip - $20.00
All shots are $10 per shot and pet must have proof of rabies or will receive one day of surgery. YOU MUST PRINT THIS PAGE AND MAIL ALONG WITH YOUR PORTION OF THE PAYMENT LISTED ABOVE BEFORE WE CAN SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT.
